Welcome

Living Lyme is the expression and culmination of my journey with Lyme disease. It has been a long, yet rewarding journey. I have learned a great deal about this disease and what it does to people. And I have learned a great deal about myself, as a person. This is everything I wish someone had told me before I became infected.

There is life before, during, and after Lyme disease. Hope is where it all begins.

My story is not only that of a typical experience of someone infected with Lyme disease. My story is about survival, growth, and success. It is about recognizing where I need to nurture myself, my body, and those around me in order to heal. It has been a life changing experience. If you are interested you can read more about my story.

For those of you who are wondering why I chose the name Living Lyme and water as the main theme…..I thought it was appropriate to focus on the Living part of the name. Water is symbolic of life, emotions, spirit, and peace. The ocean is symbolic of power and strength. Both aspects are needed to fight Lyme disease.

When I originally decided to create this website, it was because I noticed that many Lyme disease patients were losing Hope, locked in a world of despair, pain, and no end in sight to their suffering. Without Hope, there is no determination or inspiration. Without Hope, there is no chance of success. I wanted to share my experience, my struggles, my realizations, and ultimately my success. My hope is that it will help someone.

The information you will find here is solely the result of my own experience and research. This is all of the information I have shuffled through over the years into some sense of reality and truth. I am not a doctor, a scientist, a specialist, or an expert on this disease; and nothing contained in any information found here should be considered to be medical advice in any form (please see my Disclaimer page). I am simply a survivor of Lyme disease.

There are many reasons that could define why you have found your way here. Perhaps you or a loved one were just diagnosed with Lyme disease or have suffered from it for some period of time. Perhaps you heard about it from a friend. Whatever it is that brought you to stumble upon this page, I am grateful.

While the site may seem overwhelming at first, I have tried to make it easy to read and navigate. I have collected resources to help point you in the right direction. Go where you are drawn to. As my journey continues and I learn more, I will update the information as often and best I can.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or suggestions. If you are interested in receiving updates to the site or Random Ramblings, please just send a message with your request.

I look forward to hearing about your journey and your success story! This is my way of giving back. If I can help even one person, it makes it all worth it.

~To all those who have helped me, encouraged me, supported me, guided me, and continue to do so…..I thank you from my deepest. I could not have done this without you.~

~To those who gave me permission to post and share information, I am deeply moved and forever grateful. Thank you for helping me to help others.~
