Ingredients
  1. 1 Cup Unsweetened Coconut Milk
  2. 4 Tbsp. Butter or Ghee
  3. 4 Tbsp. Coconut or Whole Grain Buckwheat Flour
  4. Fresh Ground Black Pepper
  5. Sea Salt
  6. Fresh Ground Nutmeg
Instructions
  1. Make a light colored Roux (see Basic Roux recipe).
  2. Slowly add in Milk and whisk until thickened to desired consistency.
  3. Add spices to taste.
  4. Serve with dish.
Alternate Options
  1. This is a variation on a Béchamel sauce. It is often used for pasta. Use Zucchini Pasta instead!
  2. Can also be served over Green Beans, Broccoli, or Asparagus. Get creative!
  3. You can also use Sage instead of Nutmeg for a little different flavor.
